Family-Inclusive Grief Circle: Gathering against Genocide

We gather to hold space for ourselves and each other as we navigate injustice at home and abroad. We are devastated by multiple genocides such as the new brutality occurring in Gaza as ceasefire orders were lifted. We will create a safe container for expression - in words, music, silence.

About the event
What is a grief circle?
Families with children aren't always able (or willing, for safety and work reasons) to attend protests and other organized gatherings and demonstrations. That does not mean we can't have impact and it certainly doesn't mean we must suppress our big thoughts and feelings at this time as we witness daily attacks on humans and on nature, which are being carried and/or supported by our elected officials. By creating a container together, we create space to feel the feelings, to make heart connections, and to gather strength for doing the work to create a better world. Perhaps that may simply look like more patience and compassion for our own kids the next day because we took some time to release our mads, sads, afraids.
