Service Description

Sunbeam is again offering our popular play- and nature-based Afternoon Sessions for children in grades TK - 3rd! Children have a right to be immersed in the outdoors, freely exploring, creating imaginary worlds, and quietly observing natural phenomena. We love that we can provide a counterbalance to the indoor, sedentary hours they may spend in schooling. Our afternoon clubs are facilitated by a caring and skilled bilingual educator who weaves in Spanish language exposure. Each day is centered on the children's right to play and make choices. We offer a farm project, such as cooking, guinea pig tending, gardening, or art & tinkering with a variety of engaging materials. But if they'd rather spend their time running, making potions in the mud kitchen, or pretend-playing with their buddies, that is fully supported and celebrated by our staff who will still keep a close and caring eye and ear on them as they play and move about the space. We offer three pricing tiers in recognition of varied economic circumstances. Rate A reflects the actual costs of running this program and sustains our long term goals. Rate B covers basic costs of the program but it does not cover organizational costs. Rate C does not cover the cost of the program and is subsidized by Rate A and donations.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds issued for canacelations unless we have to cancel the session.
