About the event

Using examples from Sunbeam Nature School, we will cover topics such as why the natural environment is so powerful for young children and how the environment can meet the needs of individuals while maintaining group cohesion in a mixed setting. The presenter, Shawna Thompson, will share philosophical and developmental foundations and also give parents tips and take-aways for creating low-cost natural play areas at home. This is a reworked version of a day-long workshop recently presented to a room of 100 educators in Tuolumne County.

**Childcare available to Sunbeam Co-op Members $10 per hour**

Non-menmber tickets: We recognize there are different economic situations. We offer three rate options so that you may choose the one that fits you best. We ask you to pay Rate A or B if you are able. Please choose Rate C if your current income covers only your basic living expenses.
